Automatic Public Holiday - Add Public Holiday (Worked) Hours

Our payrolls contain National and Regional Public Holiday calendars, you can now choose to automatically add PHNW - Public Holiday (Not Worked) for a pay period includes a public holiday for people that have Work Patterns. The automatic entry is based on a Person's Work Pattern hours for that day. 

You will need to determine how you want the Hours Worked on the Public Holiday processed and set your preferences Setup > Organisation > Defaults > Public Holiday Preferences

Adding Public Holiday (Worked) hours 

  1. Enter the hours the person worked on the Public Holiday
In the Timesheet Entry enter the hours worked to the Qty > select >  PHW - Public Holiday (Worked) element > +Add


The Transaction Entry will display the Details, including the Alternative Day Credit and the Public Holiday Date 





The Public Holiday Worked Rule will determine to Reduce or Replace the PHNW - Public Holiday (Not Worked) hours

Replace

Idea
Removes all the PHNW - Public Holiday (Not Worked) hours and pays the PHW - Public Holiday Worked hours
This example - person has standard 80 hours per fortnight and worked 5 hours on Wellington Anniversary
 


Reduce

Idea
Deducts the Hours Worked from the PHNW - Public Holiday (not Worked) hours leaving the balance as PHNW hours.
This example - person has standard 80 hours per fortnight and worked 5 hours on Wellington Anniversary.



Adding Public Holiday Worked hours on a day that is not a normal working day

  1. Enter the hours the person worked on the Public Holiday
In the Timesheet Entry enter the hours worked to the Qty > select >  PHW - Public Holiday (Worked) element > +Add

The Transaction Entry will display the Details, including the Alternative Day Credit as a Zero
  1. Add a 1.00 if you want to add the ALT-CR
  2. Untick Replace public holiday not worked or 
  3. Untick Reduce public holiday not worked
  4. Save 
This example - person has standard hours of 32 hours per week and does not work Friday, but worked 4 hours on Good Friday and will not receive an Alternative holiday.
