Uploading of Leave Requests
Upload Leave Requests
This upload file will allow you to add leave requests in bulk, for several employees or leave types at once. This is can be useful at Christmas, when there are standard days all employees can apply for leave, such as company days or a shut down period.
The leave requests are added as pending, leave approvers can then login to approve the leave, or it can be approved by anyone with Paymaster access. The uploaded leave can also be approved in bulk.

Prepare the upload
- People > Leave Requests > hover over the Leave Request tab and click on Upload
- Click on Download Template, to download the excel file.
- Open the file from the appropriate place on your computer. File name will be leave-requests-ORG##-Year-mon-dd.
- The file will have active people and an example leave request on the first person, delete this data.
- Add your leave request data in the fields.
Some Standard Leave Type codes for leave:
AL - Annual leave
SICK - Sick Leave
LWOP - Leave Without Pay
SICK-LWOP - Sick Leave Without Pay
LIEU - Lieu Leave - If you are adding different Leave Types for one person - insert a new line - check the Id is correct for that person.
- Remove anyone that is not required.
- Review the information carefully.
- Save the file and close it.
Upload to iPayroll
- People > Leave Requests > Upload
- Select > Leave Requests
- Select > Choose File > find your saved file > Open
- Select > Upload
- Review any error messages
- Review the Pending Leave Requests
