What is the minimum wage?
Minimum Wage

From 01 April 2025 the minimum wage will increase to $23.50 per hour (before tax) for employees aged 16 years or over.
The starting out and training wages will increase to $18.80 per hour (before tax).
This is a legislative requirement that all employees are paid at least minimum wage for each hour worked.
Casual Holiday Pay of 8% is NOT included in this and is paid on top of the hourly rate.
You will need to update the Personal Details page with the new Pay Rate.
Please refer to Reports > HR > Staff Pay Rates to check your employee's current pay rates.
Use People > Tools > Upload Pay Rates if you are changing multiple employees.

There is a warning on Personal Details > Pay Rates if the Pay Rate is under the current minimum wage
