Leave Balance Names

Leave Balance Names are used within a iPayroll Organisation to track and collate a person's leave entitlement and leave taken history. A Leave Balance name is assigned to leave entitlement, and leave taken Pay Elements to define historical records under the specific type of leave category. 

Standard Leave Balance Names 

iPayroll has built-in default Leave Balance Names. These are common types of leave that are directly related to the New Zealand Holidays Act

These Standard Leave Balance Names track all leave transaction's recorded for a person under the specific Leave Balance types.

Add a New Leave Balance Name

An example of a new type of leave you may need to add into iPayroll could be "Training Leave", or "Domestic Leave" etc.

To add a new type of leave in your iPayroll Organisation:

  1. Add the name describing the new type of leave you are setting up e.g. Education Leave.
  2. Select whether the entitlement is to be given in hours or days.
  3. Select if the leave balance will be a paid leave type or a leave without pay type
  4. Select a specific sort order value in order to see a person's leave balance's in the order of assigned numeric value.
