These instructions are based on a Windows 64-bit operating system
This article covers how to use Authy on your Windows desktop computer.
Important: Make sure your desktop computer is automatically synchronised to internet time.
You may need administration rights to change the date and time settings of your desktop computer.

Note: Authy is one of the only authenticator apps that can by synced and installed on multiple devices, for example, your smartphone and your desktop.
However, syncing this device is not for the faint-hearted. It can be quite complex, and you must make sure you securely save any passwords, as there is no way to recover Authy without your passwords.
First, You Need to Download and Install the Windows Version of Authy
Select the image below to install the app:

If you have other 2FA accounts set up already, select the + icon at the top right of the screen.
- In the Enter Code given by website field, enter the 16-character time-based key, or paste the time-based key from iPayroll, and select Add Account.
Note: The time-based key is under the QR code in iPayroll. In iPayroll, select I can't scan the QR code to display the time-based key.
Note: If you can't already see the iPayroll Two Factor Authentication page, in iPayroll, select your 'Logged in as your username' hyperlink at the top right of the page, next to the Logout, and select the Two Factor Authentication page.

Note: Authy shows how many seconds are left before the code expires. If you don't have time to enter and confirm the code, as there are not many seconds left, wait until the code regenerates and use the latest code.
Note: Authy displays multiple 2FA accounts as tabs at the bottom of the screen, or as a list depending on whether you have grid or list set.
Note: If you have your accounts displayed in the list format, select the account to display the latest code. If you have your accounts displayed in grid format, select the account you require to change the details to that account.
Hint: Select the Copy icon to copy the code.
- Open Authy.
- Select the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Accounts.
- Select the account you want to delete.
- Select Delete.
Authy displays a message advising the account is marked for deletion and will be deleted in 48 hours.
- Select Save.
Authy removes the account 48 hours later.
Note: The account is not deleted for 48 hours, so you can reinstate the account by selecting Undelete.
